Cattle are given a series of FSH stimulatory injections and inseminated and fertilized embryos are collected 7 days after ovulation.  These embryos can be transferred fresh or frozen for transfer at a later date.  The set up,  insemination and collection can be done on your farm or the donor can be housed at Greeneline Genetics facility to perform all tasks. 

We perform Ovum Pick Up (OPU) in Mt. Hermon, LA bi-monthly. Oocytes collected are then transported to Trans-Ova in Bryan, TX to be fertilized in a controlled lab setting and incubated until either shipped back fresh for transfer or frozen for transfer at a later date. IVF requires much planning and coordination so please contact us well in advance to your desired date and so that we can schedule and coordinate with the lab in Texas.

One of the most important tools is your herd sire.  We feel strongly that getting these herd sires checked prior to breeding season is part of good herd management.  Dr. Gary and Dr. Matt are members of the American College of Theriogenologists and Society for Therogenologists respectively and follow the strict guidelines  established by these organizations. We can perform this service on the farm or at our facility in Mt. Hermon, LA

Utilizing both palpation and ultrasound technology we can readily deterimine the pregnancy status of your cattle. With ultrasound we can reliably detect pregnancies as soon as 30 days of gestation.
