Our Background

With over 40 years of experience in the field- Greeneline Genetics was officially started as an individual company in 2017- with a focus on Bovine Embryo Transfer services.  In 2019 we became a Practitioner Partner (PWP) with Trans-Ova Genetics offering IVF services. We feel the combined experience of our members and continual refinement in technology- puts us at an advantage to maximize results for you and your herd.

Matthew C. Greene, DVM

Dr. Matthew Greene graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.  After graduation Dr. Matt worked in private practice as a Large Animal Ambulatory Veterinarian while simultaneously developing Greeneline Genetics.  His passion for animal reproduction started when his dad,  Dr. Gary helped teach him how to AI cattle on his farm when his was around 13 years old.  Since that time he began transferring and flushing cattle under the direction of Dr. Gary well before graduation from Veterinary School.  He became certified in 2023 by the American Embryo Transfer Association and now does Embryo Transfer full time.   Dr. Matt performs embryo transfer mainly on cattle but also works on other species, specifically horses specializing in Ovum Pick Up procedures in mares.  When he is not flushing cattle or transferring embryos Dr. Matt spends his time managing and working at pure bred Angus farm in Mt. Hermon, LA.  He and his wife, Dr. Kelsey Greene (also a veterinarian) live just outside Covington, LA.  He is the father of three children- Nora Grace, Augustus and Etta Jane.   

Gary M. Greene, DVM DACT

Dr. Gary M. Greene is a 1982 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Greene completed an internship at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1984 he returned to Louisiana and went into private practice in the Folsom/Covington area. In 1995, Dr. Greene became a diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists (DACT), and then served on the ACT board as a director from 2000-2002. He is an active member of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners, and Society for Theriogenology. Dr. Greene has been a guest speaker at multiple seminars and conferences around the country ranging in topics from equine reproduction to canine semen freezing to camelid breeding.In addition to veterinary medicine, Dr. Greene has served on the board of directors for the Louisiana Board of Animal Health, the Louisiana Southeast District Livestock Show Association, St. Tammany Parish Forestry Association, Louisiana Angus Association, Vice President of the St Tammany Cattlemen’s Association and the Administrative Council at St Timothy United Methodist Church.  He and his wife, Kim live on a farm in the Lee Road area of St. Tammany Parish. His interests outside of the veterinary industry include managing his pure bred Angus beef herd, farming interests and other outdoor activities.
